When Milton Montgomery and his son opened their law practice Nov. 1, 1873, Nebraska was just six years old.The first rail line connecting the east to the west had been laid across the Missouri River the year before, quickly turning Omaha into an epicenter of agriculture, transportation, finance and international commerce. As the city grew, the firm grew, and by 1970, the present incarnation of Baird Holm was born.

Today, the firm’s integrated team of more than 80 attorneys is committed to connecting its clients to the positive outcomes they seek. With extensive and diverse expertise, Baird Holm represents public and private companies, individuals, private funds and other investors, financial institutions, governmental entities and nonprofit organizations.

Among its attorneys is a robust team with expertise in real estate, finance, taxation, corporate law and energy law to structure and execute tax credit transactions. In 2014, this team completed a three-year effort to draft and lobby the passage of a state historic tax credit program for Nebraska, which created a 20 percent state tax credit for the rehabilitation of historic buildings in Nebraska.

While many of the companies and products listed have successful track records with historic renovation projects, their presence in the REO Resource Directory in no way constitutes a recommendation or endorsement by Restoration Exchange Omaha. As you would with any project, we encourage you to check references and conduct a thorough review prior to making a selection. If you’re a business or organization that works in the restoration field and would like to be considered for inclusion in the directory, we encourage you to submit an application.
